Storage

Storage of cargoes/goods/equipment in our warehouses, in accordance with the requirements dictated by the client and the nature of the cargo.

• Five general warehouses and a bulk storage facility consisting of three bays ideal for storage of bulk fertilisers or similar products are being built. The bulk storage facility will also incorporate a bagging plant, allowing fertilizers to be shipped in bulk, bagged at the facility and distributed in bags.
• The entire warehousing complex will be a customs bonded facility and customs officers will be permanently based in the complex to monitor and control the entry and exit of cargoes from the facility.
• Warehouses can be rented on a month by month basis or on a m2 or m3 basis as each client needs.
• The complex will be guarded 24 hours a day by a reputable private security company and access control will be strictly enforced both for commercial and private traffic.
• Storage racks (shelving) can be provided at client’s request.
• Stock Control solutions can be tailor-made to suit client requirements including maximum / minimum stock (stock alerts ), daily stock movement reports and monthly stock reports including opening and closing stocks.
• Moving and storage containers when requested.

Handling

Processing of your goods will be done with the utmost attention to detail in the collection, preparation and delivery of your orders.

We will also be able control the discharge of your goods received in our warehouse in containers or repack them for later delivery to your customers.

We will also be able to prepare your requests / orders, picking, packing, based on your delivery system (FIFO, FEFO, BATCH CONTROL, SERIAL NUMBERS, ETC.)

A professional stevedoring team, well equipped both in terms of equipment and training to handle all cargo professionally and with due care will be employed at the warehouse.

• CWC (Corridor Warehouse Company) will be well equipped with forklifts, payloaders, cranes and conveyors to handle the different cargoes, including container handling equipment.
• We will also have pallets available for rental, if needed, for stacking of bagged cargoes.
• We will be able to offer a container packing/un-packing service which includes lashing, strapping and securing of stowed cargoes.
• We will also offer a collection service, collecting full / empty containers at the Port of Maputo, bringing them to our warehouses, unpacking / packing them and returning the empty / full containers to the Port of Maputo. This includes, upon request, full door-to-door delivery / collection of the cargo, to or from the client’s premises.

Detailed information, in the form of tally reports for loaded or discharged cargo will be provided for each consignment as well as preparation of detailed packing lists for each container loaded.

Distribution

A full door to door delivery /collection service will be available on request for cargoes stored at CWC, to or from client’s premises within the Matola / Maputo area.

Deliveries outside of the Matola/Maputo area can also be arranged at client request.

• We have our own fleet of flat-bed trucks and tippers used to ferry bulk, breakbulk, bagged cargo and containers to and from the port or to and from client premises from CWC.
• CWC will be equipped with a workshop on-site to service and maintain not only our own fleet of vehicles but also offering emergency repair services to cross-border/long distance haulers delivering our client’s cargoes to and from CWC.

Bonded Warehouse Facilities

CWC will be a fully customs bonded facility, so all cargo stored at CWC, has to be under customs bond and for cargoes imported for local consumption, customs formalities will have to be concluded by the receivers prior to the removal of the cargo from the facility. CWC will have a customs office on-site fully staffed with customs inspectors who control the movement of goods into and out of our warehouse complex.

The Bonded Warehouses will allow storage for a limited period of time while customs formalities are completed or while the duty and tax payments are finalised. In addition, storage in a bonded facility, allows the goods to be re-packed (eg: bagging bulk cargo for distribution, re-packing bagged cargo into pallets or mini-bulk bags, etc).

Transit cargo stored in Bond at CWC Warehouse will not pay taxes at the country of final destination, before being shipped, representing various economic and financial benefits for the client.
